The connections? You could easily swing this as a metaphor for Christianity if you were that way inclined. Talking about how anger, fear, temptation lead to the dark side which you could easily interpret as Satan. This connection could also be used for the light side of the force and god, and how it (God) binds/ protects us and all that stuff. The dude who was talking about how using the force was demonic powers being shown, this totally ignores miracles done in the name of God/Christ/Holy spirit such as the parting of the Red sea, raising the dead, the list goes on. I'm not trying to back either side of this but I would say that few people believe that star wars is real.
