Um yeah I am usually up for the "dumb blond/bad woman driver" but that was just shitty luck.. that sucks as that is one BEA-utiful car (or was).

Back in 2003 I worked at a drag strip. There was this petite redheaded gal driving her dad's 68 Ford that wanted a single run because it was her first time. She took the right lane, did a pretty weak burnout, then staged. On green she started to go but the car hooked left, she let off and got back on. Then the car grabbed HARD and pulled her into the left lane guard rail, bending the fender and bumper (good thing she was running single). Dad said "No big, she's ok and we can easily fix the damage". They were back two weeks later and from that point on she was very consistent. She wound up taking third in points at the end of the season. Pretty damned impressive! I've always thought drag racing females were hot ever since the first time I saw Shirley Muldowney race back in the early 70's. BTW she only painted her rail pink to piss the guys off!
