That's the largest wave ever ridden at 66 ft. It's somewhere around 100 miles off the coast of San Diego and is supposedly caused by a huge underwater mountain.

It's actually ridden several times in the movie Step Into Liquid which, by the way, is an awesome documentary -- even for people who don't like surfing at all.
