Even if I was at work ... I'd have been across town & a bunch of blocks downtown.

All the newscasters are falling all over themselves to compare it to 9/11 and terrorism... its f'in 90 year old underground steam pipes.. that have been leaking...hence the mud... and when the towtruck pulled over the weakened sink hole voila!.... New Yorks infrastructure is falling apart... not terrorism... just mismanagement Mr Bloomberg.

And calling it an Urban Volcano... well that network needs to just shut the hell up.

It isn't Bloomberg's fault, at all.
He's an excellent mayor.
It's just that NYC is a very old city. Things fall apart after a certain amount of years. It's unavoidable.
You can't just go underground & fix the entire infrastructure. That would cost billions of dollars. We don't have that kind of money lying around.
