OMG Thats just to close for comfort!!

Well, it looks like someone firing some sort of shoulder fired rocket, but.....
A rocket is self propelled, not fired like a hand gun like this obviously was. With a weapon like that, one end is closed and the rapid burning of incindiary material causes the exhaust gasses to expand very rapidly, propelling the ordinance out the other end. BUT here comes the equal and opposite reaction statement. Thats why the firing mechanism took off and hit him in the head.

With a rocket, the rocket carries the propellant, and its the exhaust gasses expanding and escaping from the nozzle that causes its equal and opposite reaction. No containment is needed. On a shoulder fired ROCKET then end is open.

I think this might have been on a movie set or something and they rigged a device to look like a shoulder fired rocket, and used powder rather than using an actual model rocket, which would have worked out much better.

It's almost always a giid thing to laugh at something like that.

It's not like in the delta force movies where good ol' chuck fires one from each arm..This is real firepower at it's best..too bad he won't be able to give a verbal interview on what went wrong..'best put by nelson' "HAHA!"
