Actually this is kinda funny and something I've considered doing all to often myself.
Two key points to make here.
1) Obviously she's never seen a demolition derby. If she had, she'd know that to protect the radiator she should use the back end of her vehicle to ram the other. Her car would last a lot longer and she'd be able to more thoroughly destroy her ex's car.
2) For maximum destruction she should have used a 1964-1966 Chrysler Imperial. These cars are so tough, their crash worthiness got them banned from demolition derbies for being too hard to take down. Weighing in at 5,150 pounds and rather than using unibody construction, the Imperial retained separate full perimeter frames for rigidity. These substantial frames were in the form of a full box with cross members forming an "x". The drive shaft even passed through a hole in the "x" frame.
