Look, I know there are bad cop out there but there are also some very good ones:

What is not mentioned in the article is the woman involved was three months pregnant. What is also not mentioned is that this man, before retiring from service, volunteered for three tours of duty in Viet Nam. This man, rodzilla, was my brother. So you'll have to understand that when I see generalized "all cops are bad" statements, I get a bit incensed. So, with all due respect, take a flying fuck!

Ugoto really shouldn't be a political back and forth site (it's all supposed to be funny stuff, right?), and I am concerned my comments are going to be taken poorly, but...

I should have the judgement that won't put me in peril where I would need the assitance of somone trained to be "above everyone else".

Police officers are not forced to be in the profession, they do it for a multitude of reasons as I see it. One is to serve the community they live in. The other, which I find to be more the norm, is so they can excert physical dominance over other human beings.

I have friends that are cops... they have "the cop mindset". presently, one is in iraq with the marine corps... and last month was on patrol and the guy in front of him stepped on a mine.

my friend survived, but he's not coming home. he has a wife and kid here, and even though he was in the hospital because of the blast, he is still there because he just has that warrior mindset... kill the bad guy.

thank goodness these cop buddies of mine know i am not the bad guy.

rough stuff... but the police officer chose to be a police officer and thus put himself in such harm's way.

the whacked-out vet, more than likely, was not a volunteer for vietnam and the mindf***ing that experience subjected him to.

that, of course, doesn't make light of criminal actions of the shooter.

if the clip is legitimate, i could easily see it as being used for police training. cops should NEVER ask drivers to approach the cruiser... the cop loses the advantage in that scenario.

But just because he accepted the risks associated with becoming a police officer, doesn't mean they are allowed to be killed. Regardless of how f*cked up that vietnam guy was, that's NO justification for him killing the cop.

I mean, here they go, get a job to better our society and keep our streets and roads safe, and some whacko (who was probably pulled over for speeding) thinks that because he's a vietnam vet, he's entitled to getting out of a speeding ticket. NO! He pulls out a bloody M1, and methodically shoots the officer in his legs, his arms, and his hands until he is bloodied up. Finally, at the end, he delivers the killing shot through the eye.

That's actually what happened.

That cop was doing a cowardly act of violence. There is n legitimate reason for hitting the guy in the face like that.
