for me this seems to be some kind of test how fast the train can stop with "new and highly evolved" brakes. normally a train has the stopping distance from its length (freighttrain (k, they are really long)) to three or four times its length (those modern highspeed trains). i think it really is amazing how fast it stops, even thought i don't want to be in there nore in the car.
