I'm not defending the cop, there are many bad ones out there. But 8 miles he was following her before she stopped. When a 'chase' goes that far the cops always draw their guns and have the driver get down on the ground. I see it all the time on COPS and World's Craziest Police Videos. 6 figures, yeah let me piss off a cop now!

Yeah, but that has to be the most unprofessional way I've seen it done ever. He did drag her on the ground, and trying to pull her out of the car with her seatbelt on??? I think he's lucky a little voice clicked in his head and he exchanged his gun for the mace, otherwise he could've shot her. Then he would've been sitting in a cell with all of his special friends who he put there in the first place.

...I agree he should have been wary after following her for 8 miles...however, he went way over the top....because of his over the top agressiveness, the woman was even more scared about getting out of the car and he in turn became more agressive in getting her out of the car....unprofessional as hell....but hey, there are assholes in every occupation on earth.

I said I wasn't defending the cop, only pointing out what I see on all the cop shows as what seems to be normal protocol during a chase, and after 8 miles I would consider that a chase even if it was a slow chase one.

Even though he was following her for 8 miles, she was not showing any aggressive behaviour toward him. He had to know that camera was on, so he screwed himself on that one. Then once he had her out, and put away his gun, there was no reason to show any more excessive force toward her. All the rest was police brutality. For 11 years on the force, he was not acting like a real veteran.
