I would have to disagreee somewhat...most of the weight is at the front of the truck, but not necessarily over the front tires. The gas tanks are in between the tires at about the level of the axles. Probably approximately 75 percent of the vehicles weight is at or below the tires (top of them anyways) wich is about 2-2 1/2 ft or so off the ground, and 60-70 percent of that weight forward. I guess you could say that since it is being distributed over 2 points of contact (axles), then it is, but thats just not my Pov. You are correct that most of the weight is so low that it doesn't flip, however...and I won't dispute that.

Edit: And when you say 'swing', that is exactly what happens. With the weigth distribution the way it is, the front tires act like anchors, and the back end is 'whipped around'. Not to mention all the torque it is putting out...it is designed to haul like 30+ tons, but is hauling maybe 6 or 7... I'm not sure exactly what those weigh...

Rather than look at "weight" it would be better to look at CG. For the most part the CG is going to be on or near the center of the truck, near the front wheels. The weight distribution is such that at facillitates sliding the rear of the truck around the CG easier than if the CG were near the middle of the truck. The also reduces the rear wheels coefficient of friction, plus that track looks dirty has hell (sand, dirt etc) which further allows the tires to slide.

Yeah, same correlation, just two different ways of looking at it...

The Truck is a MAN TGA and in this vid it looks to be bone stock. I have worked on this type of truck before. They all drive this well.
