they're australian dude. but mine was broken up as well. i love how the reporter is struggling not to smile throughout her little report. and this zoo must be lacking in intelligent personnel; every zoo i've seen removed the animals from their enclosures before allowing the human species inside. kind of an invitation for pain if you don't.

They're not Australian dude, they're New Zealanders, and the zookeeper in the enclosure is there to prepare and serve the food for the lionesses. He might have been taking his time and the lionesses could've become impatient, and the knocked him down, or they just felt like "testing" this guy that always comes into their "territory" with a bucket of meat at the end of his arm. Whatever the reason, it looked more like they were toying with him than full on attacking him, and judging by the "roundness" of their bellies, they were probably fed earlier on that day or at least the day before. In all the zoos that I have been to in Africa, most of the serving of the big cat’s food is done inside the enclosures buy the zookeepers, but with one difference, the zookeepers never go in alone, ever. This zookeeper in Wellington NZ just learnt that golden rule the hard way.
