I dunno, it looked pretty bad. But notice the clip is from RealTV. I doubt they would show the clip on RealTV if the guy died.

I can confirm that you have here the footages of Jeff Krosnoff and Greg Moore death...

They are one of the reason why there is no more unprotected walls around the race track, that there are fire hoses all around the pits etc...

Yep.
Crashes in sanctioned motor sports always look worse than they are. The cars are made to desintegrate. The energy gets dispersed this way, rather than being rigid, and letting the driver absorb it through his 5 point harness.

You can just see the initial crashclip, just before the blue Formula-ford hits the dirt (grass).
