Ever since the cops got tazers, I think they use them waaaay too much. I thought the purpose of using them was to contain dangerous people.

I just saw were this cop used a tazer on a 79 year old lady FIVE times while she was just sitting in the police station. Tazed her once, it knocked her into the floor and then he continued to shock her four more times. And he didn't get in any trouble.

I don't get it. It just seems like they've become 'tazer-happy'.

Be kind to your children, they ultimately choose your nursing home.

I agree.
While I do think that tazors are needed in certain cases. I also think that the cops seem to jump to use them a little too quickly.

In this case, yes, the lady was being quite difficult. But, I think the cop could have easily subdued her without using the tazor.
I just don't think all of that was necessary.

The cop asked her over and over and she refused to comply each time.
It was either she get tazed, or yank her out of the car in which he could have caused permanent injury to her (or so she would claim) or to himself.

To top it all off, she knowingly is driving around with a suspended license and giving the cop an attitude. Very classy.

To hell with the tazer I would have shot her! She thinks she is totally above the law. He gave her more than enough chances to end it peacefully. She resisted him at every turn and she was at fault the whole time. Good for him!

I have to say great job!!!! Stupid woman shouldn't have gotten pissy with the cops. I think they handled it appropriately. After a certain amount of talk, you have no choice. At the point she refused to get out, she was resisting arrest, hence, force became necessary.
