The box in the cops hand is a portable breathalyzer. It measures a suspects blood alcohol level. The round white piece with on a straw at the top is the mouthpiece ya blow into.

The cop was holding it up for the camera to show that the reading on the machine was 0.00 That means (allegedly) that the cop had no alcohol in his bloodstream. I say "allegedly" cause we didn't actually SEE him perform the test.

Sorry to see this kind of thing happen. No excuse for it, especially in those low levels of traffic.

In US bikes are dangerous enough on major highways without cars trying to take them out. No joke.

One of my friends, a priest no less, was killed on his motorcycle on the Dan Ryan Expressway about 8 years ago because someone had to get somewhere fast. While wearing his collar no less.

Wonder how that felt, to pull over and realize you'd killed a priest?

Damn.

Glad this guy lived throug it.
