They are ONLY DISGUSTING when you don't clean up after them.. They were never born, to learn how to use a toilet. There for you must pick up the crap and there is no problem. I have dozens of birds and my house NEVER smells or is DISGUSTING in any way shape or form... it's called CLEANING!

they are better than cat and dogs.
i have cats pooping in my garden i have to dodge dog shite on the streets BUT you know, i have NEVER been shit on by a birdy.they are welcome in my fountain and bird bath anytime.
i have a black bird that comes to my fountain every day for a drink and a bath and it does not fly away now when Anne or i go out.

When I lived in north Devon there was a bird table outside the kitchen window. One cheeky robin used to tap on the window if the breadcrumbs ran out.

I have never met a bird I did not like,,,And that includes bats, for which I have set up bat boxes in the barn & trees just for them,,, They keep the insect world at bay !! And I have a red tailed hawk who comes around daily for his meal. If I see he is still hanging around longer than usual I go outside and put some raw beef on the feeding platform for him or I just nail a live mouse by his tail to the platform for rthe hawk to take. Especially now in this deep freeze we are under.. I can't stand the thought of him starving when I have mice in the barn for which he can not get into so I help him out!

I love birds too, I have had mainly budgies and canaries because my working makes it lonely for them. I love the sound of your place and you never did show us around when we were there... I blame Konifur
