Oh, No they won't. They TRIED that trick LAST MONTH !!!!

True story:

We were told by a friend in the pub that we must go to the magistrates court to listen to the case of another acquaintance by the name of Clive Perry.
It seemed that there had been a fight outside a pub, and Clive ran past the fight to catch a bus. The police believed he was running from the scene and gave chase. The bus was an old fashioned one with a platform on the back (see pic).
Sitting in court watching the copper, helmet under arm and notebook in hand, reading out this statement with a deadpan expression was the best memory of the whole year.
"Mr Perry leaped onto the platform at the rear of the bus, spun around the pole and shouted 'It's a bum rap, copper: you'll never take me alive!'"
The whole court erupted in laughter. Even the three magistrates and the clerk of the court couldn't keep a straight face.

Clive was released.
