ive seen a rig do this before. it peeled the top back like a sardine can. but it was a regular trailer not a refrigerated unit like this one. this is most certainly a more costly mistake.

from the scrape marks to the right of the truck, in the picture it looks as if another truck might have been scraping the roof/ceiling but made it through.
