Actually the Troll is under the Aurora Bridge in the Fremont district. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fremont_Troll
I grew up in Ballard near the Fremont area and was in that area all the time and when I heard stories about the Troll I wondered why I never saw it. Until I went to Wikipedia and found out I was not built until 1990, long after I grew up and moved out of Seattle.
