you look confused vicky,a little whiff of gas sent a crying baby into a slumber.yes mothers in the late 1800`s and early 1900`s did some strange things in them days, but probably not strange to them at the time, they just used what they had.another one was rubbing whiskey on the babies gums when the baby was teething.there did more wild things but i cant remember any more at the moment.
