Guns are scarce in NZ, In my whole life I have only seen 3 privately owned hunting guns. I had a holiday in Hawaii and saw a cop with a handgun in a holster... I nearly fainted, I'd never seen a hand gun. We are a bit backward in the shoot'em up department and our police don't ever show guns if they have them at all... we are still arguing if the police should have something as violent as a Taizar,

Wow!!!!! Never seen a Handgun? I don't own a handgun, but I use to years ago. I had 2 handguns.
Right now I have rifles and shotguns. 2 of each.

i do know one lad who is employed at the same place as i am( notice i never used the 4 letter word)he has guns but he keeps them at a gun club.

I was in the UK in '87 and I must admit I didn't see a gun anywhere even with the people I stayed with.

My brother is a hunter too, I love him because he sends his big sis 'wild pork' the best meat I ever ate and last week I got to taste 'venison' and that was wonderful. NZ has a lot of hunters because we have a lot of unwanted 'non-native' animals in the hills. Deer, wild pig, thar (big hairy goats) wild goats and bloody millions of rabbits and possums. As a kid I had possum traps and would catch 5 or 6 a night to skin and sell. Don't tell the blasted Aussies because they love thier possums but here we can't kill enough, they are vermin. But at heart I am a fisherman, I love to go fishing and I am a dab hand at gutting and filleting afterwards. what do you hunt BKV?

I hunt quail, rabbit, squirrel, Deer, elk. Sometimes Cougars, the mountains up here are full of them. I haven't hunted Deer and elk for a while, 2-3 years.

i have seen a shot gun as i used to know a farmer.(he is dead now) but i have never fired one.there is guns in Britain but not in my world.

i had a water pistol when i was a little boy and i squirted it at my big sis and hit her in her face.

you arent supposed to load your gun or take the safety off your gun at a firing range until it is your turn to shoot. This man is waiting in line to shoot. Since right now, he is just holding a block of plastics and metals, putting it up to his ear isnt a dangerous thing

maybe this is the ONLY time he has ever done it, because he forgot his earplugs, so he has checked the gun 15 times over to make sure it was completly safe, before he put it up to his ear

*Note from John* unlike Debz, I got my gun licence when I was 16, not to say I wasn't shooting at 14. As part of the gun licence you have to learn 7 rules: The main ones being: 'All guns are loaded' another is 'Consider your firing zone' and 'Never trust a safety catch' *I've seen them fail* I've used just about every weapon apart from a shotgun and I FUCKEN HATE BUNNIES, to the point of using a sniper rifle to get one particulary annoying bastard that was asking for it!!!in all the years of hunting, *killing* I've never had an accident.... because of these safety rules.

is that one a defferder and the other a savage? had a 30.30 savage years ago dam thing used to jam but as i say never fired one tho did get an x-ray a few years back and they found a pellet in my toe dont rember getting that.. ha ha ha
