It could be the "official" way to scrap an un-airworthly air plane.
A buddy of mine last night infact, was telling me about the job he had before he became a chef. He worked in some massive saw plant where they literallly sawed materials all day on very large saws. One of the items they had to saw up one day was an F-18 per govt. regulations.

looks to me like someone tried to park a little to close to this plane with their own and sliced the crap out of it with the prop before comming to a stop at the rear of the starboard engine nacelle.

Just a guess though.

The slices look too evenly spaced for it to have been moving. If it were slowing down, the slices would progressively get closer together, and if it were accelerating they would get further apart. Unless of course he maintained a constant speed past the prop of the other plane.

OK... I highly doubt someone paid to have an industrial sized saw drug to an airplane hanger to cut up a plane. I might believe that it is government regs to do so to a military jet just because of the fact that our government is in fact that bass-ackwards, but the wings would be removed and it would have been taken to a federally contracted facility to do so. Also... any self respecting airfield would have a foriegn object disbersment controll program in place and would not allow the dismantling of an aircraft in a parking hanger for safety reasons. FOD is the #1 cause of in flight falure of aircraft.

The "N" number on the tail of the plane isn't an "N" number at all. It's a "VH" which means this is not an American aircraft. It's an Austrailian plane. If you look closely you can see that it used to say "University of South Austrailia" on the side.

Heres what happened...
On the night of August 26, 2001 at Parafield Airport in Adelaide South Austrailia, a doctor from Wyalla and owner of a Piper Saratoga(single engine), was prepping his aircraft for the flight home when he realized that his battery was dead and therefore could not start his plane. Ignoring the fact that a night flight with a serious electrical problem might be a bad idea, he proceeded to hand start the engine. But the good doctor forgot to check the handbrake or chock the wheels, and when the very powerfull engine turned over the plane began to taxi... without him. Adding insult to injury the pilotless Piper veers off in the direction of the hanger and barrels unchecked tword the most expensive planes there, the ones owned by the University. after bouncing off of 4 brand new Piper Warriors the rampaging aircraft came to rest in the twin engine Simonole shown in the picture. Somehow this all managed to unfold without igniting the hundreds of liters of fuel spilled in the process which left our doctor friend alive to do some really tall explaining.

No no no. The take the plane to the saw. No dragging a saw that is 40 feet wide, 40 feet tall and 200 feet long anywhere.
Its in Long Beach.

Exactly...

The airplane in said picture is sitting in a hanger.

Nowhere near a big ass saw.
