Apparently not. I had to look up the word colloquialism and still didn't get a clear definition.

I thought it was a typo and suppose to say "Safe Ass houses"

I thought maybe not. In the UK it means extremely secure, and probably comes from the fact that investing in buildings rarely results in a financial loss.

I do understand what your saying about financial security in buying a house, However I don't think I would feel very safe or secure living that close to a cliff. If you know what I mean.

i always thought colloquialism meant " of the area "
like certain words said only in certain areas.maybe i`m thinking of the wrong word. well i`m NSBAPOI as well.
