My dad used to work at a day care centre for the elderly and the old ladies used to regularly feed one particular stray dog. One day it was hit by a car, taken to the vet and had a hind leg amputated. It took the dog about a week to stop cocking the existing hind leg when it wanted to piss - made even more painful by the fact that it had not been neutered, and kept dropping onto its nuts.
