Awesome! I've witnessed several launches,(including the Challenger explosion) but this is one of the best pic's Ive ever seen

I don't have to attend every argument I'm invited to.

I remember our whole school being brought to the auditorium to watch the Challenger take off.
There we were, all in between the ages of 6 & 11.
And it exploded.
What the teachers must've been thinking, when they realized that they brought us all down there to watch a tragedy.

*shudder*

I don't hang out here much anymore...

I was talking to my brother on the phone when Challeger went down. He really thought I was joking and didn't believe me until he tuned in since Shuttle launches became so routine then.

People will forget what you said.
People will forget what you did.
But people will never forget how you made them feel.

Who Knew?!? I lived about 70 miles from the Space Center, and as flat as Florida is, you could see the smoke trail as clear as this photo. Add a good pair of binoculars, and you could see the shuttle itself clearly. It was common where I worked to take a break and walk outside to see the launches. We stared at this one for several minutes dumbstruck as the reality began to sink in. That pretty well ended the workday

I watched the Columbia burn up. We all had been in the field for a couple days, so nobody knew it was landing that day. We thought it was a satellite or something. One of the guys was getting news updates on his cell phone, and that's how we knew it was the Columbia

"I can see Alex did"

I sure did, especially since space has always had a hold on me. I just fiound it even worse when it became known the lowly engineers said not to launch and all the suits ignored them.

Is there video of this? I caught a glimpse of it on Fox News the other night, but I wanted to relive it 500000 more times.

Patience, I'm making sure that Joe is finished with his nightly dump! LOL that is I don't want to post it before he makes all his posts and find it on the next page of submissions and it won't get voted on!
