I'm gonna have to disagree with that VP I just got out of the Air Force and when it comes to aircraft the Navy has nowhere near the size of fleet the U.S. Air Force has.

Things have changed since I left the Navy in the 80's when that comment was true:

The U.S. has the two largest air forces in the world, it took some checking, the best I could come up with was the Air Force has 6057 manned planes, the Navy 4,000.

Now if only we the Americans had the balls for what really matters and that is a ground force (no dis Alex) but we lost more men during the first hour of D-Day than all of Iraq to date.

We haven't won a war since WWII and that was ended with a nuke.

Unless I'm mistaken that looks like the tail end of a F-14 to me which would make it navy. im not sure if the marines have f-14's though.

Yeah, I guess your right when I first looked at it it looked like the vertical stab was straight up instead of slanted like the 22.

its not an f22 the tailplanes on an f22 sweep back a bit. where these ones are straight.

The marines don't have any f-14s and the Navy almost has them phased out. The super hornet is replacing them.
