sucking lemons has that effect on you !
I can remember when we were kids there was a Salvation Army Band playing on our corner.
My Dad cut a few lemons up and sprinkled sugar on them and told us to go out and start sucking them where the band was playing.....make sure they see you Dad said. We caught their attention and started sucking on the lemons.....I remember one guy lost his tune straight away.....they moved almost immediately. very funny stuff.

Love the look on kids faces when you give them lemon!
