The artist is male - Marc Quinn. The sculpture is called Alison Lapper Pregnant.

Alison Lapper is also an artist who has a congenital disorder, phocomelia, which caused her to be born without arms and with truncated legs.

The sculpture is in Trafalgar Square, but is due to be replaced sometime this year.

Youth passes, but with luck immaturity can last a lifetime.

The quality of the sculpting is very good, its just the siting of this "work of art" is wrong. The bottm of a flooded coal mine would be better, to stop it frightening children.
