a real gun would be far too heavy for a child that old to pick up (and note the little white plastic plug for holding the water in at the bottom of where the clip should go.), and yes, it would taste supremely nasty. at least they're getting the kid acquainted young; maybe it'll be able to defend itself when it's older, hm?

As a mother of 2 kids, I find it a disgrace that she could even sit there with a smile on her face as if everything was okay. Real or fake it doesn't justify allowing a child to do that. As an avid hunter my children have grown up with weapons in the house, with that being said they have also grown up with respect and knowledge as to what could happen with misuse. And people wonder why there are so many accidently shootings with children involved? No respect for weapons and poor parenting like this dumb bitch!
