Yes in alot of parts of South America there are many zip lines that people use everyday like this... I saw a documentary on kids that had to use this to get to school everyday (5year olds and such)! They said rather than building a 200-500 foot bridge, this is a cheaper and effective way of getting around instead of making the 3 hour trip it takes to get to the exact same spot
