The "Harajuku girls", where a group of four girls (Maya Chino, Jennifer Kita, Rino Nakasone, and Mayuko Kitayama) who danced with Gwen Stefani on her 2004 "Love. Angel. Music. Baby." tour.

Your right Kabuki is a traditional Japanese form of theater where elaborately costumed performers, nowadays men only, use stylized movements, dances, and songs in order to enact tragedies and comedies.
Harajuku Girls on the other hand is a term used in youth culture fashion to describe girls from the Shinjuku/Shibuya/Harajuku areas of Japan who dress as Goths or Anime/Manga characters. So the "Harajuku dancers" I mentioned were named from their style of stage costumes and not from their style of dance.

Yeah, feel free get yourself down to Yoyogi Park this Sunday I'm sure you'll go down a storm By the way Kabuki translated means sing dance skill, and Harajuku is meadow lodging
