Also, being that I'm married to an ex gymnast I've learned a little about the sport, most of the muscles are tightened doing any type of motion to stablize the body. Being a bodybuilder I do the same thing during any lift. I've never pissed my pants, but I've nearly puked. When you have strong abdominal wall muscles, you can literally squeeze your insides. Which is called intro-abdominal and intro-thoraxial pressure. It helps stablize the low back. Its why power lifters wear a power lifting suit or lifting belt.
