Well, we don't have to worry about Air America any more! The person in the photo is Al Frankin one of thier 'shining stars'. What is Air America? If you listen to talk radio usually on the AM band, you will hear many conservative talk shows. These shows are syndicated and the radio station playing these shows pay to air them. There are a few liberal talk shows but not too many. Air America couldn't get their views on the air so they paid radio stations to air thier talks shows known as Air America. They went bankrupt this year.

I think America is basically conservative, yesterday's election results weren't against being conservative but tiring of George Bush. Approval ratings in the second year of any second term president are always at thier lowest, yes even for Clinton.

Elections like the one yesterday asure that no one party will control our goverment.This is a good thing.
I vote a straight party line myself (Republican)but I hope we never get to the point one party has too much control of our goverment.

Wow, I rarely have voted straight party line and I'm a pretty staunch conservative. In local elections it seems I vote more Democratic but in local elections the party lines blurr.

I really wish there was a serious third party choice.

What is scary of late is- is this the best the country has to offer in politicians?

Here in Texas, Basically everybody got reelected. We have the same people in Congress as before.

I voted almost exclusively Independent and Libertarian, and only went Democrat when there was no other choice.

All the Ind's and Lib's lost by a huge margin......Texas is still a republican stronghold that would rather have a nice fat budget surplus than decent education for their kids.
