Or leave a brown paper bag on the floor. I had a cat growing up that could not resist climbing into a brown paper bag. Make it easy to find her, and to carry her off to where ever it was we were going.

My cats do that too.

When the little one was 2 weeks old, he crawled into a paper bag & I almost threw him out.

When we first got our cats.. the middle guy liked to hide anywhere... one day after work I was looking for the cat... no cat I thought my god he got out somehow and is now shivering in a bush somewhere.. so I put coat and shoes on with flashlight searching our block...no cat... came back home heard a little...meowrr... turns out the nutjob was hiding inside a recliner... tipped it open and he came running out...sigh...good times.

AWW !

At least he wasn't lost.

I think cats enjoy watching us run around like chickens with our heads cut off, looking for them.

Thirty years ago my mother has 2 siamese cats, one seal point, one blue point. One day we could not find them anywhere.
On the top of an upright piano in the living room were two pocelain siamese cats. Mothers cats were sat directly in front of them in the same position, and until one of them moved we had no idea where they were!

my cats are afraid of bags, because it looks like the carrier, which we use to send them to the vet

or give them treats

one of my cats climbed up my leg, jumped to the counter, and then grabbed the treat from my hand

My retarded cat does that kind of thing all of the time !
