I HATE planes and I HATE to fly, but knowing that if you do go down you're gonna die, I've still flown. And let me tell you, those planes land on the spot perfectly almost everytime, so I doubt it would be any harder to land a plane there then anywhere else for a pilot. And with that being said, I still agree it looks like a pretty stupid idea.

Thats pretty neat. Its no harder to land on a runway whether its surrounded by buildings, water, or open fields. I'm wondering if this is in Japan on their man made island where they built an international airport.

i was once riding home with my dad when he got a rescue call(he is on the volenteer fire department) that said that a plain had to do an emergancy landing on the road we wear driving on

that's when you got money to waste

it's as safe as any other airstrip until something goes wrong

I just don't want to be a passenger and look out at the water just as the plane touches down. (wow that water looks close, thump thump , ahhhhhhhhhhh!! ahhhh!!)
