SEAT is a Volkswagen subsidiary and one of the leading car makers in Spain. It was founded in the year 1950 as a subsidiary of FIAT, with an important share owned by the Spanish Government under the dictatorship of Francisco Franco, the factory being located in Barcelona.

Sorry for the lecture, but I have been connected with new vehicle delivery for over 25 years, so I know this sort of useless information.
