Oddly enough, hats are an indulgence of mine - I am rarely seen out of doors without a hat. I have a wide variety of chapeaux - most styles EXCEPT the baseball cap.

Why did the wearing of hats by men die out, I wonder. Look at pre-1960 photoghraphs and practically every man is wearing headgear of some description.

I am also an inveterate doffer.
