what type of tank? where? what position? did you see combat?

i've been shot at several times. i didn't see combat like Fallujah or Najaf, but I've done my share of raids, seeing car bombs, etc. Kind of lucked out there.

As far as the tank goes, it was an Abrams, and I was in the spot where the guy is in the pic next to the.50cal.

as being someone in an Abrams, do you think it needs a technology-upgrade considering most of the range-finding and other electronics are from the 80's

the M1A2SEP (the newest model) are upgraded already. The remaining ones that haven't been converted yet need to be for that reason.

my favorite is the .50. not something you can readily carry on your shoulder though.

second favorite is the automatic grenade launcher. those things are awesome, especially whne you need to blow something up quick, fast, and in a hurry.

Then there's the replacement for the M60 - the M240B MG. Not too shabby

And for a smaller caliber machine gun, there's the M249. It's 5.56mm instead of 7.62.

And scoped M14's are still used when "snipers " are needed but there aren't any real ones available. just gather up all the rednecks and hand them one.
