If hitler hadnt broken the molotov-ribbentrop pact with operation barbarossa, and instead kept his focus on Britain, not even the spitfire or (the main reason for its success) the Rolls Royce V-12 Merlin would have been able to stop the bf109s and the Luftwaffe's bombing runs, not to mention the V1s. And if Hitler actually mobolized more of his navy instead of just the U-boats he could have successfully blockaded Britain from America, which would have allowed him to easily take Britain in a classic pincher maneuver. And if Hitler had gotten tanks on Britain, either with a beach head or gliders, the British had NOTHING to stop the axis tanks (including shermans, which very few were actually in England), which would have rushed through England and finally united the entire United Kingdom.

With Britain out of the way, Hitler could refocus on Africa, send his navy to barricade the straight of gibraltar, then send the navy and V2s to America, and finally surround russia and hit it with a joint attack

or atleast thats how i wouldve done it...

Wow minodude, I'm impressed. Thanks for furthering my education. I've been watching the History Channel for a few years now and it's downright scary how close Hitler actually was to accomplishing his goal.

facts: before the spitfire V, the bf109s definitly had the advantage in fighter planes, and even after the V it was only debatable which was better

and the reason the luftwaffe stopped the battle of britain was because of the starting of the war on the eastern front, not because of the fighting in britain

but they didn't get their asses kicked by the british (WWI: see battle of the somme, bloodiest day in british history, WWII: see battle of britain and africa) until the americans came to help out

i have heard this so many time over.yes you came in eventually and helped us win but you can`t sit there and take ALL the glory like Hollywood tries to tell everyone.

the trouble is a few of you young Americans is they think that America is IT and everyone else is SHIT.it is a big world out there and a beautiful one.don`t try to think you are better than everyone else just be friends with everyone regardless where they live.
