I probably looks different in chat because this editor removes what it believes are unnecessary blank spaces (spacebar). To force a space, I press and hold the Alt key and type 255 on the numeric keypad on the right of the keyboard- NOT the numbers across the top of the keyboard.
So rather than the using spacebar and getting this:

).(
( v )

You can do this using Alt-255:
 O O
 ) . (
 ( v )

Using several preceding Alt-255s, I can center the figure:
              Â Â Â Â Â Â Â O O
              Â Â Â Â Â Â Â ) . (
              Â Â Â Â Â Â Â ( v )

On a side note. It appears that my "figure" wears a bra more often than yours. Or had a boob job. ;-)

Hey; That's GREAT!!! I'd have to plug in my remote keyboard as my lap top does not have the secondary numbers pad.
