My friend and her husband are combining a vacation and a business meeting. She has a cell phone. Normally my son babysits and may still do it, but he is suppose to be looking for work. We do not want him turning down work or not looking for a job because he is babysitting Adam. I am not to worried about the ADHD part. If nothing else I will get a prescription for tranks and ignore him. He is a good kid and very intelligent. His dad makes big bucks and I think part of the reason the Adam acts out is cause his mom ignores him. He is in private school and in the summer they ship him off to think tank camps. I am not worried I can handle him. But I will get paid for my inconvenience. This started out as 5 days, they were going to fly and now it is 2 weeks, they decided to take the train.

I have a over a months stock of Adderal in my medicine cabinet that I haven't taken from the last time I was on meds. It is better than Ritalin. The Ritalin acts like a tranquilizer on people with ADHD. It stimulated the calming mechanism in you brain. People with ADHD have short attention spans and want constant stimulation. They usually are labeled with learning disorders because they don't sit still, my son flew through his lessons and would start pestering the kids next to him or roll on the floor cause he was bored. They are usually very intelligent but get bad grades in school. The test is boring and doesn't hold their attention. Thomas Edison had ADHD. They are constantly into stuff. In girls it is often not noticed because their head is in the could and they are considered dreamy and spacey. My mind is constantly turning but I have a hard time slowing down and explaining what I am thinking. I think in images and paths and not words so much. My ex told me their was no point in my going to college cause I would never complete it. At todays count I have 3 Associates Degrees and 13 Certificates. When we get the bachelors degree going at the college I will probably get back on meds so I can concentrate one of those also. I get bored reading the books and fall asleep reading them. I have had to learn behavior modifications so I can follow through and complete tasks that are boring. Things like setting a timer for 15 minutes and staying on task for that amount of time and then giving myself a break. Pumping gas, (petrol not farts) seems to take ten minutes. I counted seconds several times and it takes about 60 to 90 seconds. I can stand still for 1 minute and not be impatient. It helped me put things in perspective.
The short version of this is: You know the kid that is constantly bouncing off the wall driving you nuts and you wish you had a roll of duct tape to wrap around his mouth to shut his incessant questions up and tape him to the wall cause he is into everything and won't f@#king sit still. He probably has ADHD.
