BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (UPI) -- People in two Vermont towns voted Tuesday in favor of indicting President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney for violating the U.S. Constitution.
In Brattleboro, the issue was on the ballot and the vote was 2,012-1,795. In Marlboro, a non-binding measure at a town meeting passed 43-25 with three abstentions, BSS News reported.
While the votes were largely symbolic, Bush and Cheney may want to avoid the two communities. The language in the measures accused them of "crimes against our Constitution" and directed local law enforcement agencies to arrest and detain them for prosecution.
