Ann Sather's was really good !
I had the Swedish Meatballs. And, bought a shirt (it's just a work polo, they didn't sell t-shirts).
I had gone there, when I was 10 (22 years ago), with my grandma (dad's mom), dad & Ann herself.
She was very accomodating & nice to me. She gave me a monkey sock doll. I never got to see her again, before she died. I did manage to hang on to the pictures, that were taken of she & I, though.
We also walked down to Wrigley Field. I've always wanted to see Wrigley Field. That area is really cute. I bought a Wrigley Field t-shirt at the store caddy corner to the ballpark.
So, then we walked through the fruity neighborhood, got the car & went to the airport.
It was a nice afternoon, in Chicago.
I didn't have any Chicago "pizza" though. lol
I only get pizza at Ben's on West 3rd. Ray's on 11th & 6th or Stromboli's on University. Anything else is just a bad copy, in my oppinion.

And no. I don't know about Uno's thin crust pizza. I don't get pizza at chain restaraunts. Or anything else, for that matter. Chain restaraunts have no heart. There are far too many unique individual restaraunts to experience, to waste my time at some boring chain.

We actually drove through Indiana, on the way from Chicago to Michigan. And, on the way back from Michigan to Chicago.
I don't know if what I saw was indictative of all of Indiana, as I've never been there before. But, what I saw was truely unimpressive.
Gary, Indiana is hideous. No wonder Michael Jackson is so screwed up. lol
It all looked pretty skeevy to me.
But, I only saw a tiny bit, via the interstate. So, I'm not going to judge all of Indiana based on what I saw.
I'm sure the rest of it is pretty. I hope. lol
If you were to walk down the wrong street in NYC, you'd be grossed out too. While other parts of NYC are simply glorious.
Maybe I just saw the wrong part.

Yeah, you took the trip through the northern gutter of the state, and Gary seems to be a cesspool for Chicago (and it's Michael Jackson's hometown) A drive 50 miles further south and east would have given you a different attitude altogether... Amish country!
