I went to a surgeon today.
He doesn't think it's my appendix, given that I'm walking around & alive & what not.
lol
The doctors at the hospital were only 80% sure it even was my appendix, in the first place (my uncle, in Michigan, is a doctor & kept up with my case ... he told me that).
lol
He feels that it is a ruptured ovarian cyst.
I have to get a sonogram & go to 3 follow up appointments with 3 doctors, though.
I'll know more in the next 2 weeks.

So, I'm still on bed rest. And, not allowed to do any heavy lifting, or go to work, or excersize a lot (besides light walking). And, I have to follow a specific "soft" diet, until they know more.

I'm doing ... okay. But, I'm not well, in any capacity.

Hope they figure it out and get you up and around soon....take care.....

I gotta tell ya, about 2 years ago on a friday I started getting really bad cramps, I knew it wasn't my period since I don't have those anymore, by sunday I could'nt take it any more, and went to the emergency room, I thought maybe I had a bad case of gas, hell I did'nt know. Any way when they got me back there and did blood work on me, the next thing I knew I was on the way the another hospital for an emergency appendectomy, it blew my mind!! You can't walk around or hardly move! So lucky you, probably don't have it. Good luck with results!

Yeah, I was kind of confused as to why I wasn't being operated on.

You know they pressed down all over my stomach and none of it hurt, but when they pressed down on my right side and let up real quick there was horrible pain. That is supposely how they test for that besides the blood work, your white blood count goes up real high trying to fight the infection in your body. But I had my first ambulance ride, it was pretty cool with the sirens going and all!!!

They did abdominal exams on me too.
That shit hurt like a MOTHERFUCKER !
I got 2 more, just today, as a matter of fact.

It's abusive.

how long have you been feeling like this?seems like they would hurry up and find out what wrong with you. you know thats the same thing that happened to my mother-in-law. It took a couple of months and alot of tests to finally find out what was wrong with her,she looks a couple month pregnant she was so swollen.I won't tell you what they finally found though, cause different case different problems, ya know what I mean?

It all started on the 19th of June.
I went to the hospital, via ambulance, through the E.R.
Then, I was admitted.
Stayed for a week.
They thought it was this. They thought it was that.
The point is, I had a huge pelvic infection & the CT scans wouldn't give a clear picture, because of how infected everything was.
They got the infection down. Not totally gone. But down a lot.
They released me.
And, I'm dealing with my private doctors now. Because, I truely feel as if the hospital was incompitant.
The nurses were bitches. And, the people kept on forgetting about me.
I'm not out of the woods. I'm just out of the hospital.
But, I'm finally being cared for, properly.
That's it in a nutshell.

Yes, I remember reading your blog about it, you poor dear. I'v always hated hospitals, and you sure never get any rest there!! Well maybe soon everything will get cleared up and you'll be back out in the game again!!

Yeah, it happned 5 years ago.
Except, it hurt a lot more & lasted a lot longer.
It'll happen again because ovarian cysts just burst from time to time.

A hysterectomy is not an option because I'd have to go through menopause right now, it would totally screw up my hormones & my option to have a baby would be gone.
I'm too young for a hysterectomy.

Oh, I'v had them I guess but never had one burst, but I'v heard of it though and that it was painful. yes I guess you would have to have a full hystorectomy huh? I had a partial about 7 yrs ago so I haven't gone into menopause yet, thank god! how old are you? I'm 43, so I had one pretty young, and I already had 2 kids so I didn't want anymore anyway!! I'm not even sure if it is removable, without a hysterectomy. And, a hysterectomy is not an option.
When I go for my follow up appointments, I'll find out.
