orange says they can give up to 8 meg. at the moment i can only get 2 meg, until the local system is updated.

i pay £18 month.

I do have Dial-up which is well documented on this site. Phone company DSL service stops roughly 1 mile from my house. My local Phone Guys says it will be a long while before it can be available to me.

Cable is definitely not in my area

I've looked in to Satellite Broadband but the $200 hookup fee and the $60 per months service fee is sorta out of reach financially.

Other wireless Broadband Options are not an option. I just happen to be in a cold spot.

As for the videos on this site. I usually wont load them, It takes too long, unless the title really catches my interest, then I would download them(seems to be faster).

I will usually give most of them a courtesy Vote, if they have lots of votes and some positive comments already.

I have roadrunner. I don't have much choice in the matter because Time Warner is the only thing available around here. Everything else is a slower connection for about the same price ($44.95).

My dad still has dial-up (and AOL - *shudder*) because the only thing available there is Comcast, and they want $60 a month for broadband.

Even though I can't really afford it, I fork out over $100 a month for DVR and Roadrunner.

I have ADSL wireless.
It sounds good, but its quite slow compares to developed world's boardband.
It takes double time for the videos to download, and sometimes even after i've download them, they lag big time. So I really dnt have patience for vids :(

I'm like Brian (bkvestal) Cable only comes within a mile of my house, Dialup connects at 21.6 kbps, I'm also about a mile south of the end of the DSL line. My electricity co-operative offers WildBlue satellite internet with only a $100 equipment fee up front, and $49.95 per month for a download speed of 512 KB per second. Downside? its not very dependable... signal is degraded under a heavy cloud cover, quits altogether in a heavy rain or light snow. As far as this site is concerned, I watch about 40% of the new vids, selection based on previous commentary, my disposable time, curiosity level, and quite frankly, who submitted them.

I'm running 3 MEGA BITES a second. I'm not sure what the bill is but I'm sure its a lot. but my Internet is blazing fast. but the tech support sucks and the service will temporary cut out for about an hour. i cant switch ISP because suddenlink bought out the service for my area. so I'm stuck with them. I'm also using a wireless router for my xbox360 upstairs and i can download pretty fast from my xbox on the wireless thingy.

it is better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6.

We have DSL through Verizon.

We have access to any kind of internet provider we want, living in NYC. But, we have the DSL because it's reasonably priced & works just fine.
Sometimes it can be a little slow. But oh well. It's not that big of a deal.

I don't hang out here much anymore...

I have Mediacom cable internet. 5 megbits per second downstream, 10 megabits per second up stream. only takes a couple seconds to download a 20 mb file. I pay $68 a month, but write it off as a school expense.
