My feelings about reposts have changed.
I started here about a year ago very casually, but did not become a member until April of 06 and not really active until about 2 months after that. I wanted to get to know the members and what was already on the site. I guess that's what bugged me the most, get to know the site before submitting.
Submitting isn't all that this site is about, it's the people. It takes time and effort to make a post hoping we like it. By saying repost is kind of a slap in the face and a sure fire way to have newcomers feel unwelcome.
There has to be about 40- 50,000 items here by now. Reposts are going to happen.
I remember making comments even a blog about this and Sarah always would say just ignore it. That turned out to be the best advice.
If it's a repost, report it and ignore it. I don't know if the reporting thing is working but its not the post but the people.

)it is very hard to remember every post on here,but i try my best not to repost.but new comers will not have seen all the posts.So Bananas just post what you want and if anyone gets mad ,tough tittie.
i have noticed that the people who point out reposts the most are the ones that post posts the least.
who must be due for a promotion to detective sergeant.(D S MINO) does not sound bad at all. 
i even once had it where there were 2 pictures, one a repost of the other, on the random media bar
but to be honest, even i am annoying myself, so i might quit too
