Has anyone out there ever deep fried their turkey?
my husband had friends that did theirs that way this year,I almost took my turkey to work with me to protect it..........I wanted the first turkey of the year to be roasted.and I told him to go buy his own turkey.i was'nt going to have mine fried.How does it taste,anyone try it this year? Please let me know.

We fry ours every year, it is (my opinion) the best tasting turkey you can make. You need to use peanut oil and have somebody doing it that knows how to do it.

The due date for the new addition is July 10th of 2009!

I have not tried it, but I hear it is the best. Turkey is something I enjoy roasted. If it's better than that fried I'm afraid what it would do to my cholesterol. I'm with Monkey on this one.

It's good, but with all the other foods on thanksgiving, roasted is the best way to go. For other occasions it's outstanding. Even better when you can get a clip of yourself setting something on fire to share with us on Ugoto.

Sry I cant help, Im veggie.
But I think its better you roast, its healthier, and fried food with all the oil is really disguesting...

We've done that here, and I think the secret is that we remove the skin before serving. Its moist and tender, and the skin is the source of all the fats anyway
