Was Today A Record On Ugoto Submissions?

I noticed a ton of posts today so I counted how many in the last 24 hours. 6 pages of new media times 20 to a page is 120 plus blogs and the day isn't over. Is this a record? What prompted the flood of submission?

Did everyone read any all or none I'm just curious. It was overwhelming today and I know a lot of good submissions went to waste.

Just out of curiousity,do you think there should be a limit on people's submissions,I have trouble keeping up with everything.maybe a limit would ensure that all the new media gets read or looked at.and didn't we at one time have a 2 a day blog limit?I love all the stuff, but it is so busy and so much.

I agree. There should be limit on blogs (thought it was 2 a day, but now i see people can post 4 a day!), also on other submitions, so people will think if its worth posting or not.

I dont think so Steve, i have noticed since the site was changed and we can view all submissions, some days a lot gets submitted, i think it depends who's on, for instance if baby boy is on then he normally submits a lot in one go!!!

I'm not advocating a limit on submissions. I was just making an observation on the amount of submissions in one day, even my son noticed.

I'm just curious if anyone read any of the new submission or did most of them go to waste. I skimmed through 80% of them. I agree with you about not knowing how Joe and Katt went through days like this in the past!

Now that you know how much gets submitted ... don't you feel bad for having complained about reposts in the past ?!

The reposts that annoy the most are the one's we saw a day or two ago or ones posted by someone who just joined and hasn't checked previous content and submits a bunch at a time day after day. Remember not everyone has a great internet connection like you and I do. I know with over 30,000 submissions reposts are going to happen.

What happened to the repost auto reject feature or the repost police?

It's all good though, this is still the best site around!

I am starting to wonder if their should be a limit to people's blogs and posts,I only say this because of having trouble keeping up with it all.Not to mention some people posting 3+ blogs in a 24 hour time frame....Just my 2 cents worth

You have a good point, it would make a person think twice as to what to post.

I certainly didn't view all the new posts yesterday, how many good ones got overlooked?

I can understand how constant reposts can try the nerves just a bit.
But, can't you just ignore them ? I mean, why is it even an issue anyway ?! So what ... some people don't think to check if it's already been posted. Oh well. Don't vote on it & move on. Simple as that.

With all due respect ... what does a good internet connection have to do with reposts ?

There's still the drop menu to report reposts.
Use it.
Joe has said several times that if a submission is reported as a duplicate enough, it'll be taken down.

Also, with all of your talk about how people should check to see if something has already been submitted ... YOU submitted a picture that has already been on here just the other day.
Just letting you know.
It's not a big deal. It just shows that even when you try not to submit reposts, you inevitably will.

So, cut the reposters some slack.

Reposts shouldn't be this hard to cope with, in my oppinion.
