Rap, By Definition, Is Bullshit

I'm not really huge into music or anything, I have things I like and things that I don't. But rap is the only type of music I can say that I HATE. This isn't unfounded either. Sure, I hate it just based on my own tastes, but I have more reasons than just that. Rap isn't even music. According to Dictionary.com "Music" is:

n.

- The art of arranging sounds in time so as to produce a continuous, unified, and evocative composition, as through melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre.

- An aesthetically pleasing or harmonious sound or combination of sounds

I don't find anything about rap "aesthetically pleasing" or "harmonious". I did, however, find a much, much more fitting definition:

- Foolish, deceitful, or boastful language.
- Something worthless, deceptive, or insincere.
- Insolent talk or behavior.
- Something considered of poor quality, foolish, or otherwise totally unacceptable.

Does that fit the genre of rap like a glove or what?? Rap is a huge joke. All these people with their pants down past their ass and their backwards baseball hats (backwards baseball hats? what is this? the early 90's?) are a huge joke. Personally, I believe that rap 'music' has been created to appeal to the average pseudo-rebel's need for mainstream support to their rebellion against the mainstream. Yes, you read that right. I think it's ridiculous and I can't wait for rap to go the way of disco. Where I live it's not very uncommon to hear someone talk about 'busting a cap in someone's ass'. Maybe that kind of language is acceptable in other parts of this country... but not where I live. I live in this nice town where nobody is "living on the streets", nobody is getting shot in alleys, nobody is doing anything talked about in these stupid rap "songs", nothing anybody who lives here can relate to. There's maybe three black people in the entire city too, so why are they walking around singing songs to themselves calling themselves and other extremely white people around them "niggers"? I'll tell you why that sort of bullshit is popular. It's popular because MTV says so. If MTV says something or does something about 95% of it's viewers are going to follow like lemmings. Viacom can dictate the future of just about every one of MTV's watchers because Viacom owns MTV owns your mind. And if MTV says something it becomes popular fact. MTV manufactures rap and shoves it down your throat! I'll probably do an entire page on why MTV blows ass eventually... maybe even explain a few of the things they did right! But until then, whenever you see someone who dresses like the people they see on TV that rap... ask them why they like rap. If they say "Because it's cool" punch them in the face for following bullshit trends. If they say "Because I like the music" punch them in the face for being retarded. It's not music, it's shit. If they say "Because everybody else listens to it" complement them for not lying to themselves... and then punch them in the face for following bullshit trends.

R.A.P retards attempting poetry also its all about shooting people and stuff mind you there is some good rap about life but that stuff that people like 50 cent does sucks cuz its putting down people and crap ill stick with my old/new/ punk rock also u cant spell crap with out rap
