i read an article in the paper about htis recently ani i just wanted to know what everyone here's views on it are. for those of you who don't know it is a new part of myspace that shows lists of deceased members and lets perople comment and greive some people think its sick some people see it as a tribut what do you think???

I would guess that we have the tightest community as far as web-based message boards and the like. The only member I know of that passed was Bruce Wayne Johnston aka Batman and Joe did a very nice memorial for him which lasted for over a week on the front page: http://www.ugoto.com/blogs/39605.html and many posted memories and comments about his loss.

As tight as we are though, it would be difficult to know if we lost a member. Many will disappear for a while only to return months later. Often times a member is here but the next of kin know nothing about them being on this site. As nice of a thought this is, I'm uncertain of it's feasibility (that means to make it work). I do know that if Joe or Katt knew of a member's passing they would do another appropriate tribute.
