Few days ago, I went with my mom to a sports club for a walk. While walking, I've noticed a small kitten (I think about 3-6 months old) besides the track, she was very cute & I've cuddled her & she followed me... And so it was for long time... She was so skinny & I felt so bad for her. My mom said I can take her home if the kitty wont refuse me. So after an hour of walk, before we went home, I picked up the kitty (she was alone there the whole time, so I though she's a homeless kitty), and she refused me. I could see in her eyes that she doesnt want me to take her, so I just left her there.
I feet about about leaving her there (it was a cold day)... I think about her sometimes, wondering if she's fine & have something to eat. I really bother me that some animals do not have a warm home, someone to pet them & a bowel filled with food...

Have you ever saved/helped a homeless animal? Or adopted a pet from an animal shelter?

In my home, all the pets we have and had are from the animal shelter. And whenever we can, we adopt a new pet.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend!! =)

I have 3 cats.
All of them rescued from one situation or another.
The first one, Spike, was part of a litter of kittens that was about to be thrown out.
LITERALLY !!
His mom's owner was just going to throw them out with the trash.
So, I took him. And, got the rest of them homes.
The second cat, Killer, was my friend's mom's cat. She was moving & wasn't planning on taking the cat with her to the new place.
I was looking for a playmate of sorts for Spike anyway. So, I took her.
The little one, Skeet. He's my special boy. I found him abandoned on the street when he was a week old.
He was just so little & skinny. He was shivering. He couldn't walk, he couldn't see, he barely had any fur, his ears weren't even out yet.
He fit in the palm of my hand.
I couldn't just leave him there.
So, I took him home & hand raised him myself.
My entire life stopped for 2 months while I took care of him. But he's a sweetheart, so it's ok.

But, what I really want is a dog.

Ok, this is really pathetic, but when I was up in Northern Wisconsin in the fall for a week I tried to save a huge dragonfly. It fell in the lake and was barely hanging on, so I set it out in the sun and tried to take care of it, but it ended up dying anyways. I was heartbroken, but I got over it.
I did manage to save one animal though. My cat tried eating my goldfish and actually had it out of the bowl, on the floor, and in his mouth. I grabbed my cat by the tail and pried his mouth open and literally saved my goldfish from the jaws of death.

Are "Toys r Us" in the ghetto called "We b Toys"?

Saving homeless and injured animals is one of my greatest passions. When I was little I 'rescued' baby mice after the mommy mouse got eaten by my cat. I didn't realize they didn't eat cheese yet so they died. I actually got in trouble after my mom discovered them in my coat pocket (i was trying to keep them warm). As a teen, people from my neighborhood would bring me baby birds, rabbits, and even a baby groundhog once to raise. Even now, I foster dogs saved from the gas chamber until I can find them homes. I travel to rural dog pounds in poor counties and take the dogs that are due to be put down that day. To date I have found 27 dogs and 11 cats new homes.

Woo hoo, go me.

good for u kiepay!!
there should be more people out there doing what u do! if i could i would but i dont have no place to put them! i love animals! ur story brought tears to my eyes cuz i believe animals r just like humans! they have feelings and they cry and feel pain and love! i cry everytime i see the abandoned or abused animals at the shelter! my cat i have now was a stray and used to try to come in our house so we used to give it food outside on a plate and eventually she became ours now my mom cant live without her! and the cat before (it ran away) we found it stuck in a gutter (it was raining) and it had a broken leg so we took care of it! i loved her!

Talk is cheap because supply exceeds demand.

Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be
changed regularly and for the same reason.

i found four kittens living in my backyard. apparently their mother got run over by someone going into the parking lot next door. so my brother and I gave them food and water. they never really "warmed up" to us, and after a couple weeks they all took off.

Hey! Hier kommt Alex
